SUE MUNZ
Program Director YMCA
Sue Munz moved from the Chicagoland area to attend Northern Illinois University, liked the small town atmosphere and decided to stay. She has her degree is Physical Education, but has always supported the arts which lead to her interest in volunteering for the Art Attack.
Sue has been the Program Executive at the Kishwaukee Family YMCA for 27 years, a job she still enjoys coming to everyday. She loves the diversity of people, the community feel, and seeing people’s lives improve.
Last year, Sue won the Illinois Alliance Award for Outstanding Physical Director. While her main interest is wellness and fitness, she believes in health for the mind, body, and spirit. Besides overseeing programming at the YMCA, she also teaches Yoga and Pilates for fun. Sue loves to workout, spend time with her 3 children, do anything outdoors, and is involved in her church.
