David J. Zoberis Sr. Brings Art Display to DeKalb Area Women’s Center
DeKalb – It has been the busiest year at Zobie’s Artworks and David Zoberis Sr. is returning from his working studio located at 228B w. Main Street in Genoa to DeKalb for a special art show. DAWC will be ready to display Zoberis new works and some older favorites. David will be bringing watercolors from the local northern Illinois state-line area. Complimenting these fresh paintings will include a preview of one oil painting from a 1930’s series of Chicago transportation scenes designed for a new solo installation show in Lincolnwood in October. The public is invited to view this setting of paintings June 10-27th at the OnStage Gallery and the Great Hall Exhibition space in the DAWC, which is open for public viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. Fridays, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. the first and third Saturdays, from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, and by appointment at (815) 761-1735. The Open Reception date is June 21st offering food and refreshments from 7-9 PM. The opening compliments the Art Walk that has been planned by Ms. Edwards from the non-profit school Art Attack based in Sycamore Illinois. The artist’s reception will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, June 21 and is open to the public. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome!

The DAWC Galleries are located at 1021 State Street in DeKalb, with the accessible lift entrance from the alley north of the building. Parking is provided one-half block south of the corner at State and 11 th Streets. The show runs from June 10 thru the 27th.
