Jay Paul Bell Biography

I received a B.A. in Comprehensive Art and an M.A. in Painting in 1967,
1968 from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota, and an M.F.A. in
Painting and Drawing in 1975 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

I was on the faculty at Northern Illinois University’s School o f Art
from 1975 to 2002 and I am currently an Emeritus Professor of Art.

I have exhibited my paintings and drawings in numerous national and
regional juried competitions plus many invitational exhibitions. My work is represented
in various public, corporate and private collections.

I am represented by Broden Gallery in Madison, Wisconsin; American Art
Resources, Houston, Texas; DeKalb Gallery, DeKalb, Illinois.
